Medical Services Agrees to Production
Facility in China
EDMONTON, Alberta, March 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Medical Services
International Inc. (Pinksheets:
MSITF -
News) is pleased to
announce that it has agreed to a assembly/production facility with a
Company based in Shanghai, People's Republic of China. The Agreement is in
the form of a joint venture to bring an assembly/manufacturing plant on
line to produce VScan rapid test kits in China. The Shanghai based Company
would supply the building and labor while Medical Services would supply
the technology and training. The proprietary technology will remain the
property of Medical Services and the component related to this technology
would continue to be manufactured in Medical Services facilities. The
Joint Venture would be a 50/50 partnership. This facility would have the
capability of producing 4 to 5 million kits per year. The joint venture
would result in a substantial reduction in costs related to duties, taxes
and shipping. A China based production facility would receive very
favorable consideration in all Chinese markets.
