.39
P&F target on ADVR.....its been VERY accurate on stocks that I own
and track...FWIW.. Me thinks this board may actually exhale soon.. Z - - - - - |
Zenna:
Sounds good! Any chance of a link to that charting co? Looks like one
I'd be interested exploring. Thanks. Luv |
Luv, Not good at cut and paste...but if you go to Stockcharts.c and punch in ADVR, then 1) hit P&F at the bottom of the page 2) then rearrange the settings, a)Scaling Method.. set to Percentage b) Indicators directly below should read: reversal: 3 scale factor: 1 Dec: 3 Push UPDate... TOp of page should read .39 Target (Voluntary Disclosure: Position- Long) - - - - - |
Luv,
I think we can pretty much count on closing the gap @ .12.....I suspect
we blow up from there....ASCO abstracts are around the corner..I think
we'll see something closer the the end of the month...(can't define
"blow up" right now) :) Regards, Z |
Zenna,
what do you expect Advanced Viral to do based on ASCO and the charts. Cheers anna |
Hitting
.39 P&F target blows through most of the resistance levels except
for a minor one at .55 ....IMO (more or less) and as I recall its pretty ancient anyhow. Lets hit it! Z |
Thanks
Zenna, But I dont think the company will just go past .39 on its own.
How do you correlate ASCO and any news to these resistance levels ? anna |
Thanks,
Zenna! Really neat. I appreciated the instructions, they were perfect
and I really needed them! You're cool! Luv |
Zenna,
yes, others also feel that closing the gap @ .12 seems to be about it.
We'll soon find out. I also feel the ASCO abstract presentation by AVR118 is a real plus for ADVR and should be very interesting. I'm looking forward to hearing something good on this as well. The ASCO December 2003 "Meet the Experts"/The Virus-Cancer Link: Examining the Role of Viruses in the Development of Cancer, was really excellent reading. I tried to get link on in my post 149609, but it wouldn't appear. They always have excellent representation there: "The ASCO Annual Meeting is the premiere educational event in the clinical oncology community. The meeting is targeted to U.S. and international physicians, academicians, and clinical researchers, as well as oncology fellows, nurses, social workers, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals involved in multidisciplinary clinical cancer care. The 2003 Meeting in Chicago attracted 26,400 attendees from all over the world." Luv |
The
reason I ask all here who might have an understanding of the shareholder
numbers issue is that a certain person told me one of the reasons they
"cannot" hold a shareholder meeting is that there are more
than 30,000 stockholders - meaning the costs would be too high. I think
this is off by close to a factor of 10. Does ANYONE know how many total shareholders there are who are invested in ADVR currently?? Thanks to anyone who can supply this information! - - - - - |
Bernie-
STOCKHOLDERS The approximate number of holders of record of our common stock as of March 29, 2004 is 3,401, inclusive of those brokerage firms and/or clearing houses holding shares of common stock for their clientele (with each such brokerage house and/or clearing house being considered as one holder). Bernie
-- Im readonably certain that in a recent SEC filing, they clainmed to
have 3300 +/- shareholders. The number seems low to me, but more than once I recall coming acros that number. |
For
that person who told me there were 30,000 SH, I show you ADVR's OWN
filing and the figure you gave me as to why ADVR cannot have a SH
meeting, I say to you that you are FOS!! - - - - - |
Was
that Bill Bregman or firehirschman? I was told by a poster that Bill
Bregman assured him advr had more than 27,000 shareholders. BS. |
Hey,
Sue...thanks for the chuckle. Not sure I can answer all that...just hiked 9 miles (1600ft elev.) I'll try.. The chart that I mentioned is a Point a Figure chart...very old charting method...I've never learned that particular type of charting so I rely on stockcharts for their analysis...its completely unbiased based on historical supply and demand...IMO I have to say that I've found it very accurate....I've tracked a lot of penny stocks and my experience is that it works on them as well as higher $ stocks... Remember though, it doesn't give a TIMEframe for that price projection...its simply a "snapshot" based on where the stocks trading @ that particular time....it could take months or longer for the price to become realized...it could become REVERsed if the stock heads south in a particular fashion...I check it frequently if I'm interested/invested in a stock...however, I rely on the charting methods that I've studied heavily and use P&F just to confirm and for fun.. I noticed the move in price target mainly because it must have just turned in the last couple days or so and the new target assigned.. One thing for sure, pennies are easily manipulated...but I've been pretty successful at weeding through the garbage and keeping my eye on the chart...couple that with fundamental expectations and you often can see breakouts in the making.... The thing that is still out there is ASCO and the early release of the abstracts...the .39 price target may in fact come true.... sooner rather than later.. Trying to be thorough and concise...hope I pulled it off... Regards, Z PS..there is a site that gives something of a "smart chart" price projection and their analysis...I think its stockTA.c or something like that...there are lots of sites that break down their projections in % terms... If I come across them, I'll post it you. (Voluntary Disclosure: Position- Long) |
Luv, That's an excellent site, if you go through it there's various charting methods with explanations that are pretty good...the adjustment I gave you seems to work well on smaller stocks and I use a slightly different setting on the larger $ stocks... Another RB member turned me on to the setting for penny stocks...another stock I have HQNT nailed the price projection when it moved from .67ish to 2.80..... Have a great weekend, glad you enjoyed the site. Z (Voluntary Disclosure: Position- Long) |
The
point being that Hawkins et al have chosen to throw a cocktail party for
2 hours in a few selected cities - meetings that will have absolutely no
bearing on ANYTHING. I say management is chickens_hit to address shareholders in the form of a legal shareholders' meeting. SHAME |
Sue,
you may have heard this before, but in response to the tea leaves/
crystal ball, etc...heres an interesting read..I hope I copy it right.. Jesse Livermore Quote, " I absolutely believe that price movement patterns are being repeated. They are recurring patterns that appear over and over with slight variations. This is because markets are driven by humans and human nature never changes. All through time people have basically acted and reacted the same way in the market as a result of greed, fear, ignorance and hope. This is why the numerical (technical) formations and patterns recur on a constant basis." BTW, (took this quote from another RB board) I had my coffee grounds read in Greece some years back...all she told me happened in short order...including meeting people (for the first time)that she described to me, (a very vivid scenario in fact that came to pass) and many things...she was an "in-law" of our family...she was amazing..I'll never forget that... Wrong
Bernie! Just got back home. Meeting with Hawkins was phenomenal! She
chose to have the meeting because she was in town for several other
meetings and it was quite convenient. About 20 shareholders attended. No
cocktails... just sodas water and cookies. |
4titude...great
meeting! Hawkins is a breath of fresh air! What a fabulous presenter. So
focused and clear with her objective! All questions that were submitted
were posted in a PowerPoint and answered. Then she opened the floor for
any other questions. Most got there at 3:30pm and she mingled with
everyone and answered everything thrown her way. She even joined a group
of us for a light dinner after the presentation. What a down to earth
and humble individual! Shareholders should sleep much better from now
on. I would strongly recommend meeting her at the open house in Yonkers
or the similar meetings in Boston and NYC. (Voluntary Disclosure: Position- Long; ST Rating- Strong Buy) |
All
I want, Barry, is for ALL shareholders to have had access to questioning
her. That you had to be in Miami to participate disallows that. I'm glad you were impressed, wish I could have been there - but had she had a conference call, ALL of us that wished to here it could have listened in. Is she going to post a Web recording of the meeting - or a transcript? - - - - - |
Bernie...better
yet she said that she plans to have quarterly conference calls in
addition to quarterly updates on the website which is being redesigned!
She also said she wants to communicate with shareholders as if this was
a NASDAQ company and not bulletin board so to increase credibility in
the marketplace! |
Barry,
I trust your judgment and will defer to your evaluation - and keep my
trap shut about this. Good luck!! |
Bernie,
isn't that ASCO meeting in New Orleans in June? Maybe you could attend?
Not to far from Birmingham. Hawkins, Epstein, D'Olympio, etc will be
there. Feel free to call me at my office tomorrow and I'll fill you in some more. (Voluntary Disclosure: Position- Long; ST Rating- Strong Buy) |
Fire...once
you meet Hawkins you'd understand. The aura she portrays is so honest
and convincing. She is the type of person who is committed and will not
rest until the job gets done. Her credentials are impeccable and she has
picked her team of excellent people-- Epstein, Taylor, etc. Finally,
ADVR has a leader that can take us to the next level. You've got to meet
her! (Voluntary Disclosure: Position- Long; ST Rating- Strong Buy) |
